This document is a draft prepared for ACELIA Technologies and is pending review by the business owner and legal counsel. Your individual engagement terms are confirmed in a written agreement before any payment.
This Service Agreement describes the general terms on which ACELIA Technologies ("ACELIA", "we", "us") provides career services to an enrolled candidate ("you"). Each engagement also has a written engagement schedule that confirms your specific services, fees and dates. If the two differ, the engagement schedule applies.
1. Parties and scope
This agreement is between ACELIA and you. It covers the career consulting, profile development, job search support, training, interview preparation and mentorship services listed in your engagement schedule.
2. Services provided
Depending on your engagement schedule, services may include:
- Career assessment and role guidance
- Resume, LinkedIn, GitHub and portfolio development
- Targeted job applications and recruiter outreach, at the volume stated in your schedule
- Role-specific technical training and behavioral interview coaching
- Mock interviews, job-description-based practice, and briefings and debriefs around real interviews
- One-to-one mentorship, offer guidance and post-placement guidance
3. What is not included
- Any guarantee of a job offer, interview, employer, salary, title or start date. Hiring decisions belong to employers.
- Immigration, legal, tax or financial advice.
- Attending, participating in or assisting during any live employer interview or assessment on your behalf.
- Creating or presenting any experience, qualification, employer or skill that you do not have.
4. Packages and fees
Fees, payment schedule, accepted payment methods and any applicable taxes are stated in your engagement schedule and confirmed in writing before any payment is requested. No additional fees apply unless agreed with you in writing in advance.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete and truthful information about your background
- Review and approve all materials before they are used
- Attend scheduled sessions and complete agreed practice
- Inform your consultant promptly of recruiter contact, interviews, outcomes and changes in your circumstances
- Attend and complete every employer interview and assessment yourself
6. Our responsibilities
- Perform the services with reasonable skill and care
- Represent your background accurately and only as you have approved
- Give you honest assessments and regular progress updates
- Protect your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy
7. Confidentiality
Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential. We share your materials with employers, recruiters and job platforms only as part of the search you have authorized.
8. Term, cancellation and refunds
The engagement start date, duration, notice period, and cancellation and refund terms are set out in your engagement schedule and agreed before the engagement begins.
9. Limitation of liability
Our services are advisory and preparatory. Outcomes depend on employers and on your own preparation and participation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability under an engagement is limited to the fees you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
10. Governing law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of the state in which ACELIA Technologies is registered. If you have a concern, please raise it with us first so we can try to resolve it directly.
